A passion for travel

I am a former Spanish teacher and fell in love with adventures during my travel abroad experiences. I studied abroad in Granada, Spain, in college and participated in an student exchange program with students from Costa Rica in high school. I didn't always love Spanish class, it was tough! But, what I did love, was connecting with cultures, learning about new places and taking on a new adventure.
I met my husband in college at Illinois State University, after my study abroad experience. We got married, and I took him out of the country for his first time on our honeymoon to St. Lucia. He loved it! So, of course I took him back to Granada, Spain and he loved it even more. We ran into an American family on the beach, two other teachers, with their kids. They had a similar story to ours, being both teachers, and took their children to Spain, every summer. We vowed to one day, bring our children back to Spain, for an entire summer, while we were all on summer break.
We moved on to different adventures having three amazing boys. After our third, I found a way to stay home with them and live up the little moments of their lives, like school pick up, drop off, after nap hugs and kisses and learned to be present. I had a lot of personal growth during this time, and a rough departure from the clasroom. I was burnt out after 10 years. I have found myself looking for my next passion. It always comes right back around to travel! But, we have three boys, and the limited travel we did with them, was chaotic, stressful and expensive. Here comes my adventure, to follow more accounts that travel on points and credit card hacks. So, come along with me on this adventure as I try to get my family out and exploring the world. I am incredibly new at this, but my passion is there. So, cut me some slack, enjoy the journey and maye we can learn together!
